Anger

ANGER

Anger is defined as: A strong feeling of displeasure or hostility.  An action which is used to enrage or provoke another to become angry.

Anger: n 1: a strong emotion; a feeling that is oriented toward some real or supposed grievance 2: the state of being angry 3: belligerence aroused by a real or supposed wrong.  Synonyms: anger, rage, fury, ire, wrath, resentment, indignation

Signs of anger are outbursts of words, physical movements and a lack of patient waiting, listening, or a change of behavior.  Destruction of something, someone’s feelings, or a relationship is often the result of anger.

Anger can be like a cancer that grows within you, eating away at you, causing your own destruction.

While you may stuff it down, it will pop up where you least expect it. You may use it to fuel your drive for success, money, power, position, or control of another person or people.

Or you may take up a habit which is harmful to you, slowly killing your own body, mind, and emotions.

Or you may vent it out over and over again, slowly “killing” the people upon whom you are venting your anger.

Or you may try shutting down and blocking your anger which then causes your own depression and inability to do or care for anyone or anything, including yourself.

In all cases you are hurting yourself by shutting down your own feelings (even though they may seem “loud” to you), blocking your own sensitivity, and causing more pain around you.  You are excluding yourself from any solution since you just keep on the same track of anger instead of halting and seeking Truth for the Solution.

Hatred is a form of Murder and Anger, and hatred causes death within the soul of the person who hates as well as destroying whatever good and life there is which the person is hating.  Having an attitude of gratitude, a sense of appreciation, a genuine humility, and a relationship with the Living God Who has experience hate toward Himself, will counter one's feelings of hatred and soften even the hardest of hearts.

"Are you still so dull?" Jesus asked them. "Don't you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man 'unclean.' For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what make a man 'unclean' " Matt 15:16-20             Jesus went on: "What comes out of a man is what makes him 'unclean.' For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and make a man 'unclean.' " Mark 7:20-23

"You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.' But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca, ' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell. Matt 5:21, 22

There is a REASON God tells you Not to be Angry.

It is because GOD is the One Who is Always Right (Deuteronomy 32:4), and He is the One you are to submit to (Exodus 20).  When you bring your heart to God and submit it to Him (Submit, Salvation2), then God Will be the Avenger of your wrong (Romans 12:19), The Deliverer from your oppressor(s) (Psalm 6:4, Psalm 18:2, Psalm 33,34, Luke 4:14-21), and your Great Fortress and Protection (Psalm59) and Supplier of ALL of your Needs (Phil 4:19)!

When you or I try doing things on our own, for our ”own’ rights, then we will often fall flat on our faces in shame, which then causes us to either become more angry, or to submit to God, to Whom we should have submitted to earlier anyway.

Jesus says, "You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, tooth for tooth.' But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you." Matthew 5:38-48,

"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love… There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear".  1John 4:16,18   See  2 Cor. 5:17.

God want a Relationship with you to Enable you to Not be angry, upset, frustrated, annoyed, terrorized, etc....
