The price of your soul is the life and death of God's Own Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. God's Son's Worth is Immeasurable, therefore your worth is immeasurable in God's Own Eyes.
Trouble Accepting that? Way too high a price! Jesus Had to? Can't God Change it? Prices? Jesus asked 3 times? I have trouble accepting the fact that my worth, my value, and the cost of my life is the price of God's Son's death, the price of the Lord Jesus Christ’s life, the price of God in the flesh. Good question. Let’s look at the facts. Let’s look at the law of God. God’s laws are Firm, fixed, and unalterable . God’s character is holy, so God’s will is holy, and God's will is unstoppable. With this in mind, we know that man breaks God’s Laws. Man is a law breaker against the Holy God. Since God's Laws are broken, God must take Justice. God gives two ways to have justice attained against people who violate Him. 1) To send the person who violates God's Laws to permanent punishment, hell. 2) To have justice, or the Wrath of God laid on a kinsman redeemer, a person like themself but who is able to redeem them, to make right that which was wronged, to buy back that which was taken, to make them pure in God's sight when before they were defiled, guilty, and with shame. God gives us both options. You can choose to take your punishment forever or you can choose to have God's Son, Jesus Christ, become your Lord and take your punishment for you. God had Justice taken out on His Son Jesus. God has made it so that whosoever puts their sins on the Lord Jesus Christ and makes Him the Lord over their life has had their life paid for by the price of the God’s Son. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
You may think - That is just way too high a price for me to fathom or to accept. I feel worthless. I know no one values me that much on this planet. It sound too good to be true. So maybe it is? Prices? You may think - I am sure I could be purchased, or be saved from hell, another way. I am sure God can make another way for me, and not have to be traded for His Son’s life. God states there is only One Way for you to be purchased. By the Atonement God Himself provides. This propitiation is uncontestable, non-negotiable, and carved in God’s Palm (Isaiah 49:16, John 20:27). Jesus says that His pure life consummated by a death from punishment is the only way anyone can be saved from eternal hell and come to a right relationship with the Lord God Almighty. Jesus, the Son of God said, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16-17 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.. Matthew 7:13-14 Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. John 10:7,9 God’s high priest at the time of Jesus agreed - God records in John 11:49-52: Then one of them, named Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, spoke up, "You know nothing at all! You do not realize that it is better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole nation perish." He did not say this on his own, but as high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the Jewish nation, and not only for that nation but also for the scattered children of God, to bring them together and make them one. John the Baptist testified to this – The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29 Why did Jesus have to die in my place? Jesus tell why - Jesus prepares His disciples the night before he is betrayed to death, “For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins” Matthew 26:28, Jesus knows the Law well, “the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.” Hebrews 9:22 God takes the punishment on Jesus as payment for your sins to forgive you for all you have ever and will ever do wrong. That is justice, mercy, and grace rolled into action.
You may think - So what? Can’t God change His mind? Can't God find another way to save me rather than torturing and killing His Own Son? Jesus asked God His Father the very same question, three times. Finally, near the very end, just before Jesus is to be betrayed by a friend and go to his execution, Jesus spends time praying, conversing with His Father. Three times Jesus asks His Father to change His mind, to alter the decision, to let Jesus not have to die and bear His Father’s wrath. But “God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind.” When He speaks He acts. When He promises He fulfills. Numbers 23:19 (Genesis 15) And Jesus was in accord with His Father’s decision each time. Each time Jesus restated “may your will be done." (1 Samuel 15:29, Psalm 110:4) Jesus asked His Father, implored Him with tremendous stress, grief, and urgency. Over and over again Jesus asked. God answered Him: There are no other options My Son, but I will send you and angel to strengthen You to endure what You must endure, the torture I have planned for You so we both can be with those who receive You. (John 17, John 1:1-3; 10-14, 18, 29 ) The purpose was saving you from hell. The purpose was having you loved and blessed with God for eternity. The Way was completed out of love for you from Jesus Chris and His Father. With these facts in mind, it is proven that your worth, value, and price is fixed. The payment for you is the holy life and death by the wrath of God on the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s Son. The price was non-negotiable, even within the eternal godhead, even when the Son of God tried to bargain it down saying “may this cup be taken from me.” The Godhead's will was unalterable and in complete unity. Jesus repeated thrice, "may your will be done." Therefore, there is only one will, one way, no alteration. The price is fixed, no rebates, no exchanges, no refunds, no matter what. The price of your soul is the life of the Lord Jesus Christ! Will you take His Price for your life of your own choosing? Yes! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
God’s Word records Jesus asking His Father three times to change the price. Recorded in Matt 26:36-46 and Luke 22:39-46 Coming out, He went to the Mount of Olives, as He was accustomed, and His disciples also followed Him. When He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.” He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. Then he said to them, "My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me." Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will." Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. "Could you men not keep watch with me for one hour?" he asked Peter. "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak." He went away a second time and prayed, "My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done." When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing. Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. Then he returned to the disciples and said to them, "Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour is near, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. 46Rise, let us go! Here comes my betrayer!" ###################
Prices? -We all go shopping from time to time. While shopping, we look to see the price of something we want to buy. We may consider a comparable product at a less expensive price or go to a different store to get what we want for a cheaper price. When considering purchasing an item, prices usually vary and there is always bargaining power. If you buy in bulk, you can buy more for a cheaper price for each one. If you are in a marketplace, the vendors on the street are always quick to haggle you down from their price if the vendor across the way has another item like theirs. The vendors want your money and if they are selling comparable products, they are free to cheapen the price in favor of getting your money so their competition does not get your money. That is usually how it goes. Except if there is only One product. When there is only One, then there is no competition for selling it since there is only one vendor with that one product. When it is an exclusive item, there is no room for haggling. There is no duplication of the product, so there is no chance for changing the price. You are an exclusive item. There is only one you. Even if you are a twin, your fingerprints and DNA are completely different. For the price of you, there is no room for haggling throughout time and space. There never has been and never will be another you. God set a price on you. He knows your worth and the price is unshakable. Your price is the same price as His own dearly beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price = Romans 6:23 God in the flesh = 1 John 4:2, John 1:1-3; 14; 18; 10-13 , Unalterable = Psalm 119:142, 160, Jeremiah 33:25 Unstoppable = Job 23:13, Psalm 115:3,Psalm 135:6
