The Way #2

Definition #2 - the Way -

A road, gate, path, highway or opening making possible the passage from one place to another or to Someone.

Some say that there are many ways, paths, and roads to God or heaven. God says that is a lie.

Jesus said, "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”  Matthew 7:13-14

Jesus says He is the Only Way to God.

This is good, and pleases God our Savior, Who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, Who gave Himself as a ransom for all men—the testimony given in its proper time. 1 Tim 2:3-6

How is Jesus Christ a road, gate, path, highway or opening making possible the passage from here to heaven and God?

Because Jesus is the Atonement, the only acceptable sacrifice for our personal sins against the Holy Lord God Almighty. Because Jesus took the punishment that we each deserve, took the wrath that is due to us, in place of us, as our substitute.

Jesus’ bodily death atonement is each person’s only way to God.

Jesus’ physical body’s sacrifice to God is each person’s only way to God.

Jesus’ righteous life imputed to us is each person’s only way to God.

Jesus’ taking the punishment for each person’s personal offences against God is each person’s only way to God.

Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:7-10

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other Name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12  Matthew 7:13-14, Luke 13:22-30, John 10:1-18, Acts 4:10-12,

The blood sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ offered to the Lord God Almighty for the sins of every person makes a way for everyone who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved from the kingdom of darkness and to enter the kingdom of Light. To be changed in to children of God, to live eternal life here on earth and with God after their body dies.  JustForgiven.Org

For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:17

Jesus death on the cross fulfilled all the punishment required for every person who ever lived or ever will live. Jesus’ sinless life and excruciating death paid the penalty for every person’s debt that they owe the holy and just God. (Grace, Mercy, Hope, Love

Before Jesus died, people had to make reparations to approach God. When Jesus died, the separation between God and man was torn asunder, ripped in two, and the breach broken so now people can enter into a close intimate and personal relationship with the living and holy God. No longer is there a barrier between you and God when you come to God on His terms (Atonement). Jesus’ life and death sacrifice is the only acceptable way to come to God. When Jesus died, the curtain separating people from God’s Presence in the holy of holies was torn from top to bottom, (no man could physically do this).

With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last. The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, heard his cry and saw how he died, he said, "Surely this man was the Son of God!"  Mark 15:37-39, Matthew 27:50-51,54

We have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. We have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, Hebrews 10:1-23

But now He has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in His sight, without blemish and free from accusation Colossians 1:10-23

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. For He himself is our peace, Who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility,  Ephesians 2:13-22

When we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of his Son, Romans 5:6-21

When you come to God through His Son, Jesus Christ, you have arrived at your life’s goal: eternal life.

Jesus answered, "Whoever believes in Him (Jesus) is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son." John 3:18

The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is the road, gate, path, highway, and opening making possible the passage for any person to go from eternal hell and condemnation to eternal peace, joy, heaven and life with the Lord God Almighty.  John 3:3-21, Joel 2:32, Acts 2:21, Romans 10:13, Romans 2:11
