Cry Out!

Prayer is crying out to God in your soul.  Prayer is calling out to the Big One, the Holy One, the Lord God Almighty!

To Cry Out means to involve every bit of your mind, body, soul, emotion and heart.  To Cry Out means that no part of you is not involved in the Goal of attaining contact with the Omnipotent One, The Lord God Almighty.

When you Do Cry out to the Lord, God promises:

If ... they cry out to me, I will certainly hear their cry. Ex 22:23

God tells us to persevere, meet the goal, cry out to Him with all of your might and strength and heart.  Be single minded and single purposed.  Let the thought of the Lord God Almighty hearing your Cries consume you, so that you will get His attention and His response.  (See proof.)  God tells you and me how to cry out to Him:

Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin; pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to Him for the lives of your children, who faint from hunger at the head of every street. Lam 2:19

Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress, and He hears my voice. Ps 55:17

'If calamity comes upon us, whether the sword of judgment, or plague or famine, we will stand in Your presence before this temple that bears Your Name and will cry out to You in our distress, and You will hear us and save us.' 2Chron 20:9

O LORD , the God who saves me, day and night I cry out before You. Ps 88:1

God tells us what happens when we do cry out to Him for help.

I cry out to God Most High, to God, who fulfills His purpose for me.  He sends from heaven and saves me, rebuking those who hotly pursue me; God sends His love and His faithfulness. Ps 57:2,3

If we cry out to God, and put our trust in Him, then He fulfills His purpose for you and me in our lives.  God does this by sending out His Love and Faithfulness.

What do we cry out to God for, What do we cry out to God about?  Where do we begin?  We can cry out for a better job, we can cry out for a good husband, for good children, a good family life, we can cry out for better health, we can cry out for a better place to live ... but the prayer that changes all these things at the same time is the prayer that Cries Out for the Presence of God in your life.

My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD ; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Ps 84:2

Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim You, who walk in the light of Your presence, O LORD .  Ps 89:15   Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,  Ps 114:7

Yearning for God's Presence in your life means yearning for a relationship with the One who Made you.  Yearning to be loved as you were designed to be loved.  Yearning to be recognized as who you were truly made to be.  Yearning for the fulfillment of all your deepest hopes and needs which only the Lord God Almighty knows and can fulfill.

Yearning for God's Presence in your life means a change of alignment.  It means that you are no longer the deity of your life, but God takes His rightful place.  Inviting God's Presence into your heart and life means you accept that He is God and that you are subject, accountable, under, and beholden to Him for Everything.

This is a great freedom, unlike the world system teaches.  This is a freedom from the traps you have been stuck in, a freedom from the patterns you could not change, a freedom from the habits you could not break.  This is a great freedom because it means that you will now be under the power of the Almighty God.  You will be in a love relationship with God Who you can trust No Matter What, Who Is Faithful, and Loves you enough to give you what you need, and encourage your change for the better, at no cost to yourself, because He already gave His life for your freedom.

No one can change your life but God.  And God cannot change your life until you give Him your life.  How can you give Him your life?  -- God does not want you dead, but Alive!  And God alone can make you Alive!  Giving your life to God is simply this:    Understanding that you need Him to live, and giving the Lord God Almighty the control panel, the steering wheel, your will and your heart.  God wants a deep and abiding relationship with you, and you can only hear Him and your life be healed if you to surrender to Him, and allow Him to lead you to green paths where you will grow and be nurtured, and where you will flourish.

What do I do?  Tell the Lord God Almighty that you know He is God, and that you need and want a relationship with Him.  You can pray something like this:  God, you know me, and you know all about me.  I know that You are God, and that I have lived my life away from You, far from You.  I am sorry because I have hurt myself, and others, but most of all I have hurt you.  I am very sorry for going against You so many times.  Please forgive me.  Your Word, the Bible, says that if I confess my sins to you, and recognize that Jesus is Lord, I will be saved, I will be your own child by adoption, a new creation in Jesus Christ.  Lord, I tell you that I have done many wrong things, and I am honestly sorry for each of them.  Please forgive me.  I believe and trust your Word that "as far as the east is from the west" you have removed my sins, or wrong doing, from me.  Thank you! I want Your Presence in my life.  I want to live for You and in You.  Please make Yourself real to me, show me Yourself and give me the strength and courage to live a life worthy of You!! Thank you for making me Your child!!  In Your Son Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

If you just prayed this prayer, please let us know at I prayed!  We have some literature for you which will help you in your new relationship with the Lord God Almighty.  We can send this over the internet, or by postal mail, if you would like.

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.  As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame...for, "Everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:9-13

I cry aloud to the LORD; I lift up my voice to the LORD for mercy.

I pour out my complaint before Him; before Him I tell my trouble.  When my spirit grows faint within me, it is You who know my way. In the path where I walk men have hidden a snare for me. Look to my right and see; no one is concerned for me.  I have no refuge; no one cares for my life. I cry to You, O LORD; I say, "You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living." Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need; rescue me from those who pursue me, for they are too strong for me. Set me free from my prison, that I may praise Your Name. Then the righteous will gather about me because of your goodness to me.  Psalm 142               Put Your Needs and Heart's desire into reading this Psalm out loud!!  Use your own words to tell God your problems.  Tell Him everything and hold back nothing!  God already knows, but by your telling God, you are giving God permission to DO something to help you!  Make sure you are specific and detailed.  (Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4)  Now surrender your heart, life, and desires to God, and watch Him work in your life!  Read God's Word every day and talk to Him about the changes you see going on in your life.  Give God the glory for the changes, praise the Lord Jesus Christ, and tell others so that they may be saved from hell too!
