We each have wounds in our hearts from our childhood until now. We have emotional hurts from being neglected, abandoned, deliberately physically hurt, betrayed and lied to, belittled, mocked, and worse. Additionally words that are mean, nasty and harmful have been told to us by the culture, other people, and even our own selves. We have believed and acted upon some of these words and ideas. These things have caused us to choose to sin against a holy God. (to see if you have sinned against God please see: God's Laws, Sinner's Prayer, The Atonement , The Big Picture , World Violence , God , Just Forgiven. A very powerful tool for emotional healing is countering the lies we have ingested and lived out with the Living Word of God, the Eternal Truth, The Bible. By putting Truth against the lies, by agreeing with the Truth and disagreeing with the lies, that is how we will gain internal and eternal Peace, Hope and Joy. God says:
For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword,
It penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; It judges the
thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 When we take God's Word to heart, and to our mind, then God changes us from within. God changes our heart and our mind. When we trust what God says more than what we hear from the culture, from the people around us and from our own ideas, then God will win in setting us free from the lies and deception that has trapped us into evil, wicked, sinful, and destructive life patterns for living here on earth. When we trust with our heart and live God's Word with our lives here on earth, then we avoid eternal suffering in Hell after we die because we are with Christ Jesus. Freedom from emotional pain takes conscious and deliberate effort on your part. Each of us must reading, trust and do what God says, knowing by faith in action that God's Own Word The Bible is true. For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring Word of God. 1 Peter 1:23
Important note – If you have not been Changed because of the Blood of Christ Jesus, if you have not given God your sins through His Son Jesus Christ, if you have not surrendered your heart and mind to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, if you have not committed your life to the Lord God Almighty, then you can still read the Word of God, but you will have trouble understanding it and God's intents. The Bible says, "The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned." I want to understand "the Blood of Christ Jesus": The Atonement
Let the healing begin! Now for God's lessons from His Word, the Bible - Do not cen you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 This means that reading God's Word and doing what He says will make your mind new, your thoughts, feelings and actions healthy, and you will know God's perfect and good will.
Knowing God's will is one thing. Doing God's will is another. When you became a New Creation in Christ Jesus, God put His Holy Spirit in you to teach you, guide you, and to grow you in Him. (J) When you were adopted by God to be His son or daughter God gave you many rights and privileges to live your life with, by and for Him. (God's Promises, Just Forgiven) When you are God's child, you do have His Holy Spirit dwelling within you for God's power to do what He says to do in His Word.
I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
The overcoming powerful Word of God is the remedy for all the lies and deception that the world, enemy (devil), and we have told ourselves. Living what God says is the remedy and it enables and empowers you for living the eternal living. (Hold to Truth) This is what Jesus Christ wants for you right now. "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10:10 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2 Peter 1-4
God's Word heals. Read God's Word aloud to yourself, knowing it is God speaking with and to you. Take God's Word into your heart.
Note - As you read God's Word aloud to yourself, hearing every word as if the living God is speaking with you, which He is, you may be surprised by your reaction. You may feel sad and cry, get angry, laugh, be relieved, be comforted, feel loved, or want to run away from God's Word. But do Not run. Keep reading out loud what God says to you. Do not stop reading God's Word aloud for your ears to hear. Persevere even (or especially!) if you don’t feel like it. Medicine sometimes tastes bad in the mouth, but when it is inside it does wonders to heal. God's Word is just like that. As your emotions run to the surface to the only One trustworthy enough to deal and handle you with pure unselfish love, know that this IS the process for your emotional healing. You are in the Presence of the Great Physician and True Counselor. Take advantage of God's unlimited focus and time for and with you. Accept and enjoy God's immeasurable love for you. Listen with your heart to the Lord God Almighty as you show Him your feelings. There is no One safer than the Lord God Almighty Who you should be completely vulnerable with. God will never reject a True Christian.
God promises this: Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:1-2,31-39
Cry out to God as you read His Word out loud. Cast your Cares on God directly because He is listening to you and Wants you to give Him your cares. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted. The Lord Jesus Christ says, "Come to Me". Give the Lord God Almighty your problems and troubles just as you feel them. Don’t quit on God as He is reaching out to you and not quitting on you. That is why Jesus Christ came to earth, because He wanted a personal and deep relationship with you based on Who He is, God. God has been waiting a long time to heal you deeply. And why does God want to do this for you? Because you are precious in His sight. God loves you with an Everlasting Love. You are as valuable as His Son Jesus Christ. God proved it when He sent His Son to take the death penalty and full wrath of God for your sins upon Himself so that you would never have to go to Hell after you die – And more than that, for everyone who trusts God more than any one or any thing, God makes them His personal, intimate, beloved and adopted child. God keeps His promises for each child. Why does God do this? Because God is Pure Love.
So let's get started: God's Word heals. The Word of God gives Life. Jesus says so Himself. Adhere to what God says to you. Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life." John 5:24 Jesus said, "The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life." John 6:63 Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life." John 6:68
God's Word is Truth. You can trust it with your heart and mind. NO other words are perfect or true. The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever. Psalm 119:160 As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. Psalm 18:30 For the Word of the LORD is right, And all His work is done in truth. Psalm 33:4 I will worship toward Your holy temple, And praise Your name For Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word above all Your name. Psalm 138:2 The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. He who heeds the word wisely will find good, And whoever trusts in the LORD, happy is he. Proverbs 16:20 Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Proverbs 30:5
Read these aloud knowing Jesus is speaking to you. Your word, O LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. Psalm 119:89 All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal. Psalm 119:160 Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.' " Matthew 4:4 God "humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD." Deuteronomy 8:3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known. John 1:1-3, 12-14, 16-18
Jesus Christ is to be trusted. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. Hebrews 1:3 because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Hebrews 7:24-25

Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. Romans 10:17 Listen carefully to your words with your heart and mind. Use your sanctified imagination to understand all that God is conveying to you. Trusting that God's Word is Truth. Use the faith God has given you to make God's Word profitable for you and God. God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. Romans 12:3 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. Hebrews 4:2
