To BE with God requires effort. God is all around you, for not even the
heavens can contain Him, But God IS HOLY and Righteous. In order to be in
His Presence, we must be Clean. In order to be able to Hear the Lord, we
must be clean. In order to be heard by Him, we must be clean.
Uncleanliness, or SIN, blocks our relationship with God.
References.
A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and
said, "Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean." Jesus reached
out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be
clean!" Immediately he was cured of his leprosy.
Matt 8:2-3
Isaiah
was right when he prophesied about you: "'These people honor me with their
lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings
are but rules taught by men.'" Jesus called the crowd to him and said,
"Listen and understand. What goes into a man's mouth does not make him
'unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him 'unclean.'"
But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a
man 'unclean.' For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual
immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what make a man 'unclean'; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him
'unclean.'" Matt 15: 7-11, 18-20 The heart is
deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? Jer
17:9 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and
renew a steadfast spirit within me. Ps 51:10
- Ask God for specifics. If you doubt He hears you, ask Him to show Himself
to you. He will do it. But if from there you seek the LORD your God,
you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your
soul. Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is
near. This is what the LORD says to the house of Israel: "Seek me
and live. (Deut 4:29; Psalm 27:4; Isa 55:6; Amos 5:4; Matt 6:33,
7:7,8; Luke 11:9,10; Phil
4:6)
- Acknowledge that you have sinned against the Holy
God. Who can say, "I have kept my
heart pure; I am clean and without sin"? Remember
not the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love
remember me, for you are good, O LORD. Good and upright is the LORD;
therefore He instructs sinners in His ways. Look upon my affliction
and my distress and take away all my sins. You alone are Holy.
Sinful life. God's
Laws. (Ps 20:9; 25:7,8,18; Prov
23:17; Prov 29:6,16)
- If you do not repent: But
all sinners will be destroyed; the future of the wicked will be cut
off. Because of Your wrath there is no health in my body; my bones
have no soundness because of my sin. My wounds fester and are
loathsome because of my sinful folly. You rebuke and discipline men for
their sin; you consume their wealth like a moth-- each man is but a
breath. Would not God have discovered it, since he knows the secrets
of the heart? He will repay them for their sins and destroy them for their
wickedness; the LORD our God will destroy them. Hell
(Psalms 37:28;38:3,5; 39:11,
44:21, 94:23)
- Confess your sins to the Lord God.
I confess my iniquity; I am troubled by my sin. (Ps
38:18, Ps 32:5, Ps 41:4, Lev 5:5, Lev 26:40,
Ps 66:18-19, Isa 59:1, Hos 5:5, Joel 2:13, Prov 3:5, Isa 40:28, Prov 28:13,
I Jn 1:9)
- Repent of your sins. He
who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces
them finds mercy. (Prov 28:13, Job 42:6, Isa 59:20, Matt 3:2,8,11; Luke
13:3,5; Rev 3:19, Ps 25:11, Psalm
51)
- Recognize your need for Atonement for your sins.
If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand? (Ps 130:3,
Lev
5:6, 8:34, 14:19 16:30 17:11, 19:22; Psalm 65:3,119; Rom 3:25, Heb
2:17)
- Acknowledge that Y'eshua,
Jesus the Christ, came as Atonement for your personal sins.
God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his
blood. The Lord has sworn and
will not change his mind: "You are a priest forever, in the order of
Melchizedek." (Rom 3:25, Ps 110:4, Hebrews 1; 4:14 - 5:10; 7:11 - 10:25)
- Accept Y'eshua,
Jesus, Salvation,
the Atonement of your sins against a
Holy and Righteous
God. He does not treat us as our sins deserve or
repay us according to our iniquities. (Ps 103:10, Romans 10:9-13)
- Ask God to create a pure heart in you and
place a right
Spirit
within you. Ask the Lord God to carry
your burdens. Psalm 51;
Born Again.
- Accept the forgiveness of the Lord.
If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have
listened. When we were overwhelmed by sins, you forgave our
transgressions. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed
our transgressions from us. Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost
being, praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all
his benefits-- who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who
redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who
satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like
the eagle's. Righteousness. (Ps 65:3,
66:18,103:1-6,12, 130:3)
- Ask God Almighty to heal you,
teach you, and
equip you to do all He
desires.
- Trust and have faith in God to accomplish His promises and
His will for your
life. Phil 1:6
- Thank the Lord God Almighty for His Compassion and Mercy on You.
Thank him for righteousness. I
will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.
My soul will boast in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. I
sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. (Jer 31:3;
Psalm 33, Psalm 34)
- Accept the fact that you are now God's
adopted child and that He will
never leave you nor forsake you. (Eph 1:5; Acts 2:17; Joel 2:28-29; Psalm
9:10; Exod 23:20; John 14:2-3; Jer 31:33)
- Live for the Lord God Jehovah in gratitude for His Eternal Gift to you and
in obedience to His Holy Will for your life. Direct
my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me. I
have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal. Righteousness. Heaven.
Matt 28:18-20; John 14:21; Jer
31:33, Ps 119:133,11,160).
Do not let
your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the LORD.
