Bible

The Bible is the Word of God.

What God says about His Bible:

"Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."  2 Pet 1:20,21    God Almighty is the Author of the Bible, the Holy Spirit is God.  The Bible was written by men who were inspired, or breathed into, by the Holy Spirit Who gave them the words to write down.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.  2 Tim 3:16,17  This is the purpose of reading the Bible.

For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12   This is what the Bible does to the reader. It works as a light, revealing to the reader the truth of their own spiritual condition, as well as the truth of God's standard for their lives.

"As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my Word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.  Isaiah 55:9-11   God's Word is far above and better than Man's ways, and it is perfect.  God's Word will do a work that God sends it to do. God's Word never fails. (John 1:1-4, 14)

As for God, His way is perfect; the Word of the LORD is flawless.  He is a shield for all who take refuge in him. Psalm 18:30

The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. Psalm 19:7

How God's Word Works -  God's Word is Living Water (Jn 4:10-13)  for your soul living soul (Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being. Gen 2:7 Amp).

God's Word never runs dry or out.  God's Word nurtures yoing it, softening it, soothing it, helping the rocks and stubble be washed away, .  The Word of God is the bread of life.  It feeds you what you need to have peace, contentment, for your purpose in this life to be fulfilled, to know,
- The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life. … Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Jn 6:63,68

The Law of the Lord is  perfect, reviving the soul.

Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law does he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.  Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.  For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.  Psalm 1

Your Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.  Psalm 119:105

The Law of the Lord is  perfect, reviving the soul.  The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.  The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart.  The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.  The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever.  The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous.  They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb.  By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.  Psalm 19:7-11

Your word , O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.  Psalm 119:89

I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.  Psalm 119:11

Your statutes are wonderful, therefore I obey them.  Psalm 119:129
