The Character of GodGod is All-Loving, Omniscient (All-knowing), Omnipotent (All-powerful), Omnipresent (Always everywhere at the same time), Sovereign and has always and will always exist. God is All-Loving,-
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John
4:8 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us
and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is God is Perfect - I will proclaim the name of the Lord . Oh, praise the greatness of our God! He is the Rock, His works are perfect, and all His ways are just. A faithful God Who does no wrong, upright and just is He. Deut 32:3,4 God is all Knowing, Omniscient - O Lord , You have searched me and You know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; You are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue You know it completely, O Lord. Psalm 139:1-4 God is All seeing, omnipresent, is present everywhere - Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," even the darkness will not be dark to You; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to You. Psalm 139:7-12 God is all powerful - Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matt 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God." Mark 10:27 Also see: Genesis 1 & Job 40 and 41. God always was, is and always will be - "I am Who I am", Exodus 3:14; "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "Who is, and Who was, and Who is to come, the Almighty." Rev 1:8 He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. Rev 21:6 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Rev 22:13 God is Compassionate - But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. Psalm 86:15 The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. Psalm 103:8-10 God is a Personal God - Our God is greater than all other gods. 2 Chronicles 2:5 Our God is in heaven; He does whatever pleases Him. Psalm 115:3 **What kind of a Father is God?** **How do I Worship God?** **The Trinity** Was this page helpful? Please let us know at contact.
